Guesses anyone?

So we are going to have our ultrasound in 2 and a half weeks! We are so excited! Jamie's greatest desire is to be able to look at the ultrasound photos and figure out on his own if it is going to be a boy or a girl. Which should be an interesting experience.

We have been wondering whether it is going to be a boy or a girl for some time now and I am sure that you must be wondering as well. So in an effort to have a little more fun we were wondering if you would post a comment with your gender guess. We will keep track of the answers and when the end of the pregnancy looms nearer we will have everyone guess the due date and weight of the child. The person who guess the most accurately across all the categories will win something special (although I'm not quite sure what that will be yet).

So on with your guesses.

I'm getting big!

Okay, so I know that I've been promising to post pictures for quite some time. However, my ability to look cute has gone down hill since entering the survival mode of pregnancy. So I recently sucked up my pride and took some pictures anyways.

As you can see I'm definitely showing. Some of you might think I'm not that big, however, may I remind you that this picture was taken at 15 weeks (just over 3 months). Many people have told me I look like I'm 4-5 months along. Crazy. Jamie is hoping for twins, but so far we've only seen and heard one baby. Its going to be a long and rather uncomfortable road for me I think. Oh well, poor junior is confined to a very small living space so I suppose I shouldn't be complaining too much. At least I have recently been able to exercise. Yeah!!

The Next Chapter

Here we go with another few months to try and update all at once.

First of all, a few weeks back for National Hug Day (That's January 21). For participating in the LaPierre activities by keeping track of our random acts of service to others we (Michelle, Laree, Renee, Cris, and I) got a care package from homebase which consisted of fudge, Twizzlers, Gummy Spice Drops, Hugs (of course), some coveted family videos, and the worth its weight in Yellow Eyes! Thanks Mom. We had some goodtimes having people over for dinner and serving one another just because. It's a nice reminder to be mindful of how to help others all the time.

Here's a picture of what our "Hug in a Box" looked like after we opened it.

Keeping with the spirit of National Hug Day, Michelle made dinner for the family... AKA me. This was for Valentine's Day eve, since the 14th was obviously Boston Baked Beans. She had been planning this for a while... marinated steak, special mashed potatoes, steamed asparagus, and a french appetizer (artichoke parmesan spread over toasted baggets). She made me go into the other room and do homework while she made everything, and lit the candles. She taught me a few things about how to set the table nicely. She liked the fancy settings, I couldn't take my eyes off of all the fire... there's five more large candles not pictures... we had a bright dinner.
A picture of the finished product, all except the fruit pizza. It was fun to use extra plates and utensils just because.

I, Jamie, have reached another milestone in my life... nay, a landmark. This happened at church a few weeks ago as I was holding one of the babies in the ward. The first of many more...
My first spit-up stain on my suit! Don't worry, junior's still nestled comfortably in Michelle's belly. But this is exciting, especially when it's not happening 3 times a day. Michelle thinks I'm over reacting, so I'll move on.

We made rolls for dinner the other day. This is always exciting and filled with all sorts of surprises. When I help I try to shake things up as much as possible.
I figure, if I'm going to be wearing an apron I can at least wield a man's tool, hence the ten inch blade. It also helps keep the cutting lines even. This is very important for our newest roll designs. One of our family favorites that we've perfected recently is...
The diaper.
Putting this old fashioned shape to shame was the newest roll making its premier debut at dinner this last week was...

...the Lobster Roll. Don't worry, for all you peta members this roll is flesh free... unfortunately.

The DeMartinis Come to Provo:

Michelle's side of the family came out for the last weekend in February. It was a nice visit. As you can see things got crazy once we pulled out the nerf guns.
Bradley (my soon to be brother-in-law), Peter, Me, Simon.

Then after one on one duels lost their excitement Michelle came up with this...

3 way duels.

The nerf guns are a large part of our home life now. In fact, we never like to leave home with out them.
Yikes.

It was a great weekend, but it took its toll on us, especially junior, so Michelle let him take an afternoon nap. Also making history, here Michelle is modeling her first full maternity outfit...
We are loving life. Thanks for your friendship.
